Yes folks, this is the weekend you have been waiting for. A weekend in the country with hashing, beer, asado, beer, fun & more beer! Thanks to our wonderful hosts You're Fired & his delightful wife, a weekend to remember will be enjoyed. A lot of you have responded to the earlier facebook request for confirmation, and Forrest Drunk is co-ordinating that side of things.

HOW TO GET THERE:

Transport to Chacabuco. Of course the best way is on car sharing the fuel cost, 2,5 - 3,0 hs driving, 200 km. In the file attached you could find mini bus and bus options.
Address National Route # 7, km 201, on right 200 mts, in front of "Las Moras". There´s an advertising on the Route "Las Moras". S 34° 37,32¨8', W 60° 25,339' .

2.- Accommodation for the Saturday 13th. We´ve available space in the Quincho and in the Garage, where with a pad or something it´s posible to rest. On the same way it´s possible to place a tend on the green. It´s the cheapest option.

3.- Scheduling. Activities are planned from early afternoon on Saturday ( 2,00 PM ), with a Hash around 6,00 pm. Barbecue around 9 pm. Sunday an early Hash around 10,00 am and a lunch around 2,00 pm. Depart time for your convenience.

We´re open to receive in the Saturday morning the ones who want to enjoy more time in the Quinta. But for logistic reasons please bring something to share for the Saturday lunch.

Hash #635 - Sunday October 26th, 2014 - The Irishman's Hash

I swear blind I had next to nothing to do with this, but in case you weren't aware, Inspect Her Assets (otherwise known as my good self) will be back in BA for the next month, and for some reason Old Hag & Mr Mum are pulling out there "Green Card" and playing with an Celtic Theme for this weeks Hash, so get your leprechauns out, dust of your Paddy's Day regalia and come on down for a wonderful Hash starting in Plaza San Martin.

On a serious note (Ed's Note - Can IHA ever be serious?), I am looking forward to seeing old friends and new on my return, so without further ado - ON ON.................. Here are the details for Hash #635 this Sunday...

After the wonderful time had by those that crossed over to our relatives in Uruguay last weekend for the Rio de La Plata Hash, it's time to look ahead to what is in store back here in Buenos Aires. As you all know, the Hash is only as good as it's Members, and in order for the Hash to build, Hares are always needed to spread the load, and lay interesting trails in interesting places around the City and beyond.

It often seems that the same Hashers are very keen to Lay Trail, but in truth, we have to thank the repeat hares who step into the breech to design and lay a trail when others are reluctant at coming forward. To be fair, many virgin hares are worried that designing a trail, getting some food sorted etc., is too much for them to take on, but don't Panic! - The Long in the tooth Hashers, (you know who you are), are always willing to help and support new hares - So don't be shy... If you have an idea for a future hash, let someone from the Mis-Managemnet know what you are thinking, don't be backwards at coming forward.

The good news is that if you have missed your hash in recent weeks as you couldn't make it across the River, well, like London Buses, we have three coming up in the next four weeks - Why Three you ask? - Well, firstly, the next is due on the 26th to get back on track, and then the following weekend is Halloween, a Very Special Hash, and then we are back in two-weekly sequence on the 16th November.

We sent out Advance Notice a few weeks ago, so it should be well encased in your diaries for the best weekend away you could think of this spring. BUT, we need to get an idea for catering, who is going. Colonia is a wonderful little trip away from BA, the tranquil coastal village across the Rio de La Plata giving some great Hash Trails, some great little bars, and hostels to stay in.

Red Hot Chilli would love to know a rough idea of how many Hashers will be sailing over, so please, please, let us know if you are planning to head over, for the weekend, or simply just for the day. This has always been a great weekend, and our friends in Uruguay are looking forward to seeing us all in Sunny Colonia.

ADVANCE NOTICE - Interhash Del Sur - October 11th & 12th, 2014

Yes, it's advance warning to clear your diaries for the weekend of October 11th & 12th. It's the Annual Get Together with our friends from Uruguay with the Rio de la Plata Hash, which this year we are renaming the Interhash del Sur - The Southern Cone Hash, but most importantly, a Great weekend in Colonia del Sacremento in Uruuguay.

It's a short hop across the River from Buenos Aires, and the plans are to have a weekend of fun in Colonia with our fellow Hashers from the Uruguay. Saturday & Sunday, with a few drinks partaken off on Saturday evening, although a rumour has surfaced that you can also get a coffee or two in Colonia.

Full details will be out soon, but we can guarantee a great weekend away, with runs, beer, Chotos & Chivitos, beer, probably water, shiggy, beer and lots of fun.

With El Diablo stepping in due to Anal Friendly getting stuck with work first thing on Sunday (Yes, even with work he lives up to his Hash name!), and Just Alexia along with Edward Slitherhands setting things up - A guaranteed great day will ensue....

WHERE: The meeting point will be in the corner of Cuenca and Nazarre street, next to Villa del Parque train station and the shopping mall.

Nos encontramos en la puerta del edificio de Montes de Oca 464.

#625 - The YOLO Hash - Sunday JUNE 8th, 2014.

Our next Hash is going to be run on the outskirts of BA, in Villa Pueyrredon, and we will reach Devoto area. I thought it could be named The YOLO (You Only Live Once) Hash. We’ll have empanadas for lunch and 2 beer-stops on the route. Already praying for the best autumn weather to enjoy the postcard view in the surroundings...

Ni Hao - is Hola in Chinese (roughly translated).

This Sunday, we will cross over the Chinatown in Belgrano neighborhood to Palermo area. Fall season is around us, with the different colours of the leaves falling down the trees , making a special view to enjoy as we Hash around the leafy suburbs starting in Chinatown.

Yes, you all know it's been coming, and here it is arriving - The World Infamous BA Hash House Harriers Anal Red Dress Run....

This fantastic Day will take place this Saturday, starting at TREFFEN Bar, at Piedras 178, Montserrat, in Capital Federal. From there the sights of BA will be visited, or the hash will be THE sight in BA this weekend. Note that Red Dresses are Compulsory, and fines of down downs with water or other non-alcoholic and foul tasting concoctions will be issued as punishment if the fashion police don't feel you have entered into the Hashing Spirit!!!

No sooner have you recovered from one celebration and The St Patrick's Day Hash, we're at it again, with the Party to end all parties. The Fiesta Hash - Note it's on Saturday (so you have Sunday to recover before back to work on Monday)... And note the time and our new location, thanks to the wonderful Javier and his Treffen Bar -

This year, we have a special appearance by your favourite Irish Hasher, returning by special request, yes, Inspect Her Assets will be back in BA, so be warned for crazy happenings, and lots of great jokes......

Following on, the Saturday after, yes SATURDAY, March 22nd, in the afternoon, and into the night, will be a special Fiesta Hash and party to celebrate lots of things. This will be hosted by Blanka Wanka y Las Chicas, with Treffen Bar in San Telmo hosting us all, before, during, and after....

Yes, it’s that time of year again…we’re off to explore the beautiful, exotic south of the city, otherwise known as Quilmes/Bernal!

It’s the Quilmes Carnival Hash! Next weekend is a long one, so come along and celebrate Carnival in style with headdresses, masks, costumes galore to get into the spirit!

We’ll be meeting in front of my new apartment, Lavalle 317, 9B, Quilmes, at 11am to run at 11.30am on Sunday 2nd March.

Yes, it's Valentine weekend and Forest Drunk is hosting the Big Heart Hash, with the spirit of Love in the air. It's often said that the French are the Romantic Nation, HOWEVER, as all Irish know, St Valentine's heart is buried, along with the rest of him, in Whitefriar Street Church, here in Dublin, SO - Valentine's Day is really yet another Irish Holiday - So, come on Hashers, let's HASH..... Gispert Memorial Day - 11th February - Raise a glass in memory of our founding father -

11 February is the Memoriam to A. S. Gispert, the man who is
considered the founder of the Hash House Harriers. He was lost to the hash while in defense of Singapore in 1942. May we all tip a beer in his honour this day.

Yes, it's in Spanish - Mostly at least, and this week we head out of the city to Big Bush, NO, we aren't heading into the Australian countryside, we are off to Monte Grande, which has something to do with a bush that is big. As Doon Doon wrote the plan of action, I won't use my profound ability as a translator to provide an English version, I'll leave it in the original Spanglish for your delight - If you can't understand it, try Google Translate, as I can;t work it out :)...

CUANDO: sunday 2nd, febrero 2014, a las 11:00 hs. We start to run al 11:35 hs. asap.
WHERE: Gral. Mitre 721 Monte Grande
COMO LLEGAR: Para llegar a Monte Grande deben tomar la Autopista Richieri en dirección al Aeropuerto de Ezeiza.
Al llegar el predio de la AFA se sale de Richieri y se toma la Autopista Buenos Aires/Cañuelas (ruta 205). Aproximadamente a los 3 kilómetros se toma la salida a Avenida Fair, donde se sale de la autopista y se cruza por arriba hacia la izquierda. Ahi uno choca con avenida Fair que la agarra hacia la izquierda. Se hacen como 20 cuadras y en una estación de servicio Shell se dobla a la derecha que es la avenida Cervetti. Como a 20 cuadras se cruza una vía donde hay una rotonda, pero se sigue derecho! En el primer semáforo se dobla hacia la izquierda en la Avenida E. Santamarina, y se sigue como 5 cuadras hasta el primer semáforo donde se dobla a la derecha 3 cuadras y y doblamos nuevamente a la izquierda 70 metros y listo.
La direccion exacta es Gral. Mitre 721 Monte Grande.

Hashy Trashy New Year Hash - Jan 4th, 2014 - #614

Hash #614 - The Hashy New Year Hash

With the soaring temperatures of the summer in Buenos Aires, a decision to switch the time, and day, of the First Hash of the New Year, to Saturday evening, paid dividends as a slightly cooler evening hash took place this past Saturday. Our Four Femme Fatals, Blanca Wanka, Cheap Lice, Chorizo Lover and Smells Like Fish, took the honours of laying the first trail of the year, and managed to please almost everyone by laying a great trail, with TWO Beer Stops - Always Welcome.

In the absence of our GM, no doubt relaxing with a cool one somewhere nice, Forest Drunk took charge of the circle, and suitably managed to devour all the beer - Well, not personally, but amongst the entire thirsty hashers. A naming took place, which I am sure will be explained eventually, with Miguel Ruggiero now to be know as "Two Nuts and A Bolt - 1mm".. (Ed's Note - I haven't a clue either!).

Hares were volunteered for most of the next couple of months, and no doubt there will be some sore heads this morning (Ed's Note - For "This Morning", read every morning after a Hash!)....
